Crowd Controlled No More!

I do not like to walk the mall,

I do not like the mall at all!

Never do I ever love venturing into crowds and shopping in stores! Give me a bookstore, and I’m happy to browse; otherwise, leave me home. Please!

Christmas can be draining to non-shoppers like me. Thankfully, my family knows me! They save the little things, like present wrapping for Mama. I am thankful for that mercy!

Instead of the hustle and bustle, give me a quiet moment, sitting under a tree. I gaze at gentle lights and ornaments from Christmas past.

Give me the simple nativity. Mary watches over the baby. To me, Jesus feels more present in such quiet spaces.

Pervasive Peace

Let me join the crowd if each holds a candle and sings. Silent night, holy night, peace belongs to me!

You can have the mall, my friend,

You can shop from start to end.

Leave me in my quiet space,

This is where I find God’s grace.

  1. We don’t have any real malls in my town. Just a couple of small outdoor strip malls.
Other than grocery shopping and trips to the Dollar Tree store and Costco, I mostly do all my shopping online.
