“Slow and steady wins the race” (Aesop).
Timid one, you fell again. Dust off your pride. Stand back up!
Onward we go, though the pace feels painfully slow. Don’t give up now.
Winning this race is no sprint. Steadfastness is the key.
Awaken to hope, the strength is from Him. Your weakness is no surprise.
Real change takes time. Real faith keeps going Real help is yours today.
Don’t give up, O you of little faith. Keep moving towards the prize!
Seek first His kingdom. Keep moving forward, one step at a time.
“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me” (Philippians 3:12, NIV).
Towards the goal, fix your eyes. Our hope is not in our speed or strength. Its’s in the faithfulness of Jesus. He will never disappoint. He cheers you on today. Take one step towards Him. Even the small step matters. Press on towards the goal, Christ in you, the hope of glory!
Anna, this was encouraging to me today. Steadfastness is the right word for sure. May we hold steadfastly to our faith, not wavering, and pressing on until the Lord comes.
I want to stay here on the mat
after that last hard punch,
bow my head and admit that
cancer ate my lunch.
I fought the bastard hard and long,
from east unto the west,
but he is really really strong,
and I will fail this test.
So why not stay here, dripping gore,
why now attempt to rise?
No-one out there’s keeping score,
and so I’ll close my eyes
and push up, gloves so slick with drool,
and fight like a benighted fool.
a strong piece of encouragement. Thank you. 🙂
Thank you, Anna. Keep on keeping on, but in His strength!
