Daisy the Dog attacks her breakfast bowl with gusto!

I added my special “gravy”…just water heated to warm, and she is having a marvelous time. Kibbles fly out. The bowl gets second and third licks; this simple meal is a highlight in her day.

Perhaps I should attack this new day in such a way? The LORD made it special, just for me! To you, it may seem ordinary, just another Friday. But He has sprinkled the water of life on every moment before me. He warms it all with His lovingkindness. How can I be calm when such a treat awaits me?

THIS is the day! Don’t let it pass. Perhaps if I relish it, I will squeeze out more of the goodness.

This IS the day! Not yesterday,  not tomorrow. Now is the time I have to taste and SEE God’s good gift. 

This is THE day! There is no other like it. As Daisy focuses 100% on her meal, let me fully focus on this moment of joy.

This is the DAY! Jesus turns my darkness into light. “You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God durns my darkness into light” (PSalm 18:28, NIV). Perhaps if I relish His presence I can spread some light to you.

THis is the day the LORD has made!
