Thrill

“It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth just as the Father commanded us” (2 John 4, NIV).

Hang in there, Mama! Those seeds you planted were real. Imagine what THRILL your heart will know when they stand on their own firm foundation of faith and love.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:9,10).

I know, Mama! It feels like so long since you heard their simple words of faith. “Jesus Loves Me” was more real than the ever-higher growth marks on your kitchen wall. They knew it as children. He will pursue them all of the days of their lives.

“Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let not your hands be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well” (Ecclesiastes 11:6, NIV).

Don’t stop now, Mama! There are more seeds to sow. Ask the LORD of the harvest to bring others to love. Grandchildren? Young mothers? Elderly? Surely you can find new hearts that need the love you have to give. Maybe the kids are watching! Let them see that your faith and love persist. Keep on sowing as long as it is Today.

Keep praying, Mama! Your Father sees and hears. Declare His faithfulness and wait upon His perfect timing.

Hang in there, Mama! It’s going to be good. The thrill of discovering that your seeds have grown into tall trees is more than worth the wait.
